Great book–the Undercover Economist–everything you wanted to know on how prices get set, competition, competitive advantage, value creation, everything the mysterious “they” should teach us in elementary school and junior high but don’t, because the mysterious “they” don’t really want us to find out how the real world works. Has received less hype than Freakonomics, but is every bit as worthy, this serves as a broader overview of econ topics in analysis of how the world works overall, whereas Freaknonomics focused more on quirkier case studies and anecdotes.
