Polenta is so easy to make, and is delicious. YUM!!! It’s made of corn, you cut it into slices and cook it/fry it in a pan with oil. Takes a few seconds/minutes. This is simply a great book for artistic and design inspiration. You know MC Escher had to be all over these Japanese patterns. So many permutations and ideas, such fine detail, yet abstracted and minimalist–logos of their time, family crests.

This is so cool. I want to play with the Starlight Information Visualization system…makes data analysis look like a video game. I think I saw an episode of that show Numbers once and they used all these investigative and analysis techniques that were somewhat similar to what Starlight can do.
