Of course there’s also the Joji Hirota and George Hirota albums, which are much more prog rock than Hiroshima.

Listening to the  koto parts and the and disco/funk/soul bass and timing, it sounds like Robert Smith listened to a lot Hiroshima while making the classic 1980s Cure albums, especially with songs like Kyoto Song, the Walk, and most of all Lullabye.
